Volunteer in our ReStore!

An important message to our customers & donors:

We're here for you and your home improvement needs. We're taking every precaution we can to ensure the safety of our customers, donors, volunteers and staff.
As a precaution to the ongoing COVID-19 (Corona Virus outbreak), we're putting into effect the following changes:
  1. We are no longer scheduling donation pick ups or deliveries at this time.
  2. The donation center will continue to accept donations.  However, we will exercise extra caution as to the items we will be able to accept to ensure that our volunteers and staff remain safe. We reserve the right to refuse your donation.

These temporary policies are effective as of 3/21/2020. We appreciate your patience as we work to keep our volunteers, staff, customers and donors safe. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at (830) 625-7005. Thank you for understanding!

About us:

Comal County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a retail outlet that sells donated building materials, appliances, household furniture and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds from the ReStore are channeled back into the construction of Habitat homes.

In addition to being a vital source of revenue funding Comal County Habitat for Humanity's mission of creating homeownership opportunities, the ReStore is also a way for Habitat to repurpose surplus building materials and other supplies.

Volunteering at Comal County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a great way to be involved with Habitat for Humanity.

Comal County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is almost entirely volunteer run – volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. Each volunteer possesses different skills and experiences that are assets to the ReStore and its mission.

Looking to do CSR, National Honor Society, community outreach hours, or school credit hours? The ReStore is an approved organization!*

*Due to the nature of our business, you must be over the age of 14 to volunteer with us. 14 year-olds can volunteer with a parent or guardian.

What do ReStore Volunteers do?

ReStore Volunteers take on a wide range of responsibilities and are vital to keeping the ReStore operating as a successful retail outlet. From driving the ReStore truck to pick up donations to placing items on shelves, ReStore volunteers are the backbone of the ReStore mission.
